The Ivaskas

Mike Ivaska is the lead pastor of Vashon Island Community Church. After serving as youth pastor for three years, he left to pursue a formal education. He and his wife, Nichole, returned to church staff in 2011. Mike holds a BA in Religion from Faith Evangelical College and Seminary and an MA in Theology and Culture from Northwest University. He has served as lead pastor since 2013. Nichole works at the local grocery store, managing the floral department among many other important tasks beyond her department. She also serves in various capacities at the church. Their Daughter Ava provides a sweet glow of happiness in everyone's life.

The Seders

Nathan Seder joined the team at VICC in August 2018. He has served as music director for multiple churches in Washington State and New England. Nathan's wife Sarah is a native of Vashon Island who has completed her MA in dance and is currently the resident assistant professor of dance at Pacific Lutheran University in Tacoma, WA. Nathan and Sarah are enjoying the adventures of parenthood with their daughters, Ana and their new addition, Aya.

Susan Darr

Susan has served VICC in several capapcties over the years, from youth ministry to worship. She currently manages our church office, heads up our audio-visual department, and tries to keep Pastor Mike from getting too disorganized. As an experienced missionary and spiritual counselor, Susan provides an invaluable addition to our team.
